Location: Remote
Hours: Summer - full time (35h/wk). School year - part time option available
Stipend: €500/ month for full time; part time stipends will be pro-rated based on hours worked

Founded in 2016, Konexio is a France-based social startup that empowers vulnerable people with financial self-reliance through training in digital skills and facilitating access to jobs. Historically, Konexio has worked primarily with refugees, unemployed youth, and vulnerable women. This internship is housed within the International Team, which operates digital skills training and livelihoods projects in Africa and the Middle East. Konexio is a registered non-profit.
Role Description
We are seeking an intern to support development of international partnerships, projects, and fundraising. This remote role will coordinate with team members in Europe, Africa, and Asia. A high degree of autonomy and ownership is expected in this role, and the flexibility to wear multiple hats. Familiarity with trends in the digital sector and the ability to engage productively in a digital world is a must.
This is a writing-heavy role, for which candidates should demonstrate an understanding of Konexio’s business and model and be able to convey Konexio’s value through diverse mediums to diverse audiences. Attention to detail is needed for copy editing and visual layout.
The ideal candidate is self-confident and able to thrive in a demanding and fast-paced environment. S/he/they takes a results-based approach, communicates clearly, and is comfortable managing up.

Responsibilities
Writing and Communications:
- Research, write, and edit grants and online applications for funding
- Write and lay out flyers, 2-pagers, pitch decks
- Write social media and blog posts, newsletter copy
- Write scripts for videos and speaking events
- Bonus points for video editing
- Bonus points for design experience
- Bonus points for translation experience
Research and Analysis:
- Prospect for funding sources and key contacts; demonstrate savvy judgement in identifying leads and explain your reasoning
- Compile and maintain a database of stats for use in writing and communications
- Conduct benchmarks, internet research, and fact-finding that guides K’s operational and business strategy
Coordination:
- Support logistics for events and conferences, research and compile preparatory info, track and conduct followups
- Support in administrative and organizational tasks
- Coordinate with other Konexio teams on cross-functional projects
