Lead Trainer
Konexio seeks an experienced educator to support the growth of its programs in Kenya and Jordan. We use a “train the trainer” model, in which Konexio remotely builds capacity for partner organizations in global project sites. As part of Konexio’s international team, the Lead Trainer trains in Konexio’s methods, supports Implementing Partners (IP) in course setup and execution, and customizes curricula for local needs. This role is split across project sites in Nairobi, Kenya and Amman, Jordan with potential project sites in each country.

Qualifications
High level of professional digital skills and excellent knowledge of digital work culture (knowledge of professional tools and best practices- office suite, project management software, CRM and data tracking systems, digital learning software, multimedia tools)

7-10 years of education experience, including at least one of the following
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Education or related field, Master’s Degree preferred, additional experience accepted in lieu of a Master’s Degree

Responsibilities
- Develop and customize curricula and other pedagogical content for each project site
- Lead training sessions for IP trainers (remotely, or blended as the situation allows)
- Support IP trainers throughout training of students
- Guide IP trainers in usage of Konexio course material/ systems/ tools
- Support IP in recruitment of local trainers and students
- Ensure program quality by holding IP accountable to Konexio’s evaluation methods
- Follow relevant trends in the field
- Facilitate communication and coordination between Konexio and IP

Workplace Conditions
Location: Nairobi, Blended and/ or Fully Remote
- If local to a project site, opportunities for blended in-person and remote work may be possible
- Be present online Monday through Friday during regular working hours (Kenya)
- Candidate must have access to a professional-grade computer with videoconferencing, high quality internet, and call-friendly work space
Qualifications
High level of professional digital skills and excellent knowledge of digital work culture (knowledge of professional tools and best practices- office suite, project management software, CRM and data tracking systems, digital learning software, multimedia tools)
Skills
- Background working with non-traditional learners and vulnerable populations
- Fluent in English, working knowledge of French preferred, conversational Arabic a plus
- Demonstrated cross cultural communication skills; demonstrated excellence in written communication; high degree of responsiveness to remote communication
- Knowledge of online freelancing platforms and trends in the tech industry as they relate to online freelancing
- Knowledge of local digital upskilling ecosystem a plus (private sector, government, NGOs, institutions)
Work Experience
7-10 years of education experience, including at least one of the following
- 5+ years in adult continuing education
- 2+ years in educational leadership (teacher training, curriculum development, education administration)
- 2+ years teaching digital tools
Education
