Program coordinator (Kenya / Jordan)

Principle Mission
Konexio is seeking an officer to support students, programs and operations for its international programs in Kenya, Malawi, and Jordan. 

​Responsibilities
Technical support for students

• Guide students in troubleshooting technical issues and submitting bids for work on freelance and contractor platforms
• Liaise with freelance and contractor platforms to understand usage and implement agreements; convey information from platform POC to students and Konexio team 

Tracking data and results

• Liaise with students to track their progress on freelance and contractor platforms
• Compile data and reports on program success

Ad hoc tasks to support Konexio staff

• Facilitate communication amongst students and program staff
• Work directly with program staff to successfully deliver the program
• Contribute knowledge and brainstorming to build Konexio’s local partnership network
• Contribute to development of projects
• Support fundraising efforts
• Support sustainability initiatives

Workplace conditions

• This is a fully remote position.
• Online presence  Monday through Friday during regular working hours (Kenya)
• Access to a professional-grade computer, high quality internet, and work space

Qualifications

• Knowledge of online freelancing platforms and trends in the tech industry as they relate to online freelancing (ex: AI and machine learning, data processing, etc)
• Fluent in English; additional proficiency in French or Arabic strongly preferred

Skills 

• Background working with non-traditional learners and vulnerable populations preferred
• Proficiency in professional digital skills; willingness to learn more advanced digital skills

Soft Skills

• Strong commitment to serving students; some teaching or tutoring experience preferred
• Demonstrated cross-cultural communication skills, experience liaising with external parties preferred

Professional Experience
5-7 years of professional experience in education, program coordination, and/ or digital training

Education 
University degree (4-year)\
